Bu de\u011fi\u015fimler, b\u00f6yle bir derginin varl\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131 s\u00fcrd\u00fcrmesinin \u00f6n\u00fcne hat\u0131r\u0131 say\u0131l\u0131r zorluklar \u00e7\u0131kard\u0131. Bunu en ba\u015ftan bilmiyor muyduk? Biliyorduk ama hi\u00e7 bu kadar a\u011f\u0131r bir bi\u00e7imde hissetmemi\u015ftik. Son y\u0131llarda &#8220;\u00e7a\u011f\u0131n ruhu&#8221; her yan\u0131 ele ge\u00e7iriyor, en yak\u0131nlar\u0131m\u0131za kadar gelerek ku\u015fat\u0131yor, giderek herkesi i\u00e7ine al\u0131yor: Yazar, d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcn\u00fcr, sanat\u00e7\u0131 ya da akademisyen de bunlar\u0131n etkilerinden azade kalam\u0131yor. K\u00fclt\u00fcrel ve siyasal dibe vurmu\u015fluk kimine bezginlik ve y\u0131lg\u0131nl\u0131k, kimine h\u0131rs ve k\u00f6rl\u00fck olarak geri d\u00f6n\u00fcyor. Bu ko\u015fullarda dergi d\u0131\u015far\u0131dan ne yaz\u0131k ki pek az beslenebildi. \u00c7\u00fcnk\u00fc kli\u015felerle, basmakal\u0131p fikirlerle, izi s\u00fcr\u00fclerek emek harcanmam\u0131\u015f, \u00e7al\u0131\u015f\u0131lmam\u0131\u015f kanaatlerle, nesnesini yitirmi\u015f ya da hi\u00e7 bulamam\u0131\u015f &#8220;akademik&#8221; yaz\u0131larla, aktar\u0131rken kendini ve d\u00fcnyay\u0131 unutan metinler ve saire ile her\u015fey yap\u0131labilir \u2013nitekim yap\u0131l\u0131yor da\u2013 ama b\u00f6yle bir dergi \u00e7\u0131kart\u0131lamaz. K\u00fclt\u00fcr\u00fcn ve sanat\u0131n akt\u00fcalitesiyle ilgilenmek insan\u0131 k\u00fclt\u00fcrl\u00fc yapmaz, oldu\u011fundan daha da cahil yapar \u2013 &#8220;Tez&#8221; bir tezin varsa tezdir \u2013 dahi anlam\u0131ndaki -de, -da ayr\u0131 yaz\u0131l\u0131r \u2013 \u00fcstelik bir virg\u00fcl\u00fcn k\u0131rk y\u0131ll\u0131k hat\u0131r\u0131 vard\u0131r! B\u00f6yle bir k\u00fclt\u00fcrel ortam\u0131n a\u00e7\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131, bo\u015flu\u011funu kapamaya \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmak gitgide daha yorucu bir hal ald\u0131. Bu ko\u015fullarda Defter, detayc\u0131l\u0131\u011f\u0131yla, bilgi sevgisi ve teoriye yapt\u0131\u011f\u0131 vurguyla, memleket kar\u015f\u0131s\u0131nda s\u0131kl\u0131kla &#8220;fazla&#8221; kal\u0131yordu. Defter zaten o yak\u0131n dostlar i\u00e7in ve onlar sayesinde yay\u0131mland\u0131 diyebiliriz. Yine b\u00fct\u00fcn bu y\u0131llar i\u00e7inde, bir \u00fcslup ve tarz olarak hem ba\u015fka yaz\u0131larda hem ba\u015fka yay\u0131n \u00e7abalar\u0131nda derginin yans\u0131malar\u0131n\u0131 g\u00f6rebildik. Hi\u00e7 beklemedi\u011fimiz yer ve zamanlarda verdi\u011fi yank\u0131yla s\u0131k s\u0131k \u015fa\u015f\u0131rtt\u0131 da bizi Defter.
